1. It's a lot of work making sure I collect all the entries, read them carefully, and make sure you guys get something out of this independent of the prizes.
I'd like two things, if you would - first, I'm collecting for prizes. If you know anyone who wishes to give something, get them to contact me.
Second: my own work has a facebook page. I'd really like "likes" for that, please. If you're curious about what exactly I do, here's an interview with me.
2. That having been said: you guys are amazing. I've seen contests and prompts that can barely get 10 responses in a week or two. Right now, we're at about 20 entries, and this contest is 2 days old. At this rate, I'll be looking at 80+ deviations. Many thanks to !letterjak and Love-the-peace for doing some exceptionally good promotion. A lot of you have been helping out with that, and please keep it up. I can't guarantee I'll justly reward everyone. I just want this to be fun for everyone involved.
3. More talented poets who I'm happy to have added to the watchlist:
I can't thank you guys enough for participating. Please support each other, and support the other deviants who've submitted work so far. A list of them is here: [link]

I made a small custom box above the comment section to promote your contest : )
Ashok: "Truth is, serious artists should be promoted that much more by many more people. The mob mentality in its softer form is navel-gazing. People would rather talk about the same old news story or vent about their day over and over again as if all self-expression were created equal.
Again, though: I think the hunger for something better is there. The money is in letting people think there is nothing better, though (hence, our tv and radio media. Print media is much better than either)."
And you're absolutely right that the advantage people have over these resources are so much more than how some adults who stick to tv and radio and therefore, aren't so comfortable with new technology in general... And I must say that if it wasn't for the youth in our day who can adapt to new inventions that become a trend, that spread like wildfire, and so companies who invest their ideas based on the interests of the younger generation, that's where they garner the most success. (I'm just basing that conclusion for my experience in making the most advantage with social media like facebook, twitter, blog)
Finding more great art out there is difficult if you're just limited to walking into gallery stores or museums, which aren't always readily accessible, and traditional and digital art can be found online more than anywhere else, imho.
